ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop guidelines and Regulations for the Design, Construction and Operation of Refineries, Pipelines, Depot and Petrochemical plants.

  • Monitoring and Supervision of all processes concerning the construction of crude oil Refineries and crude oil pipeline Projects in the country.

  • Participation in the feasibility and technical studies that deal with crude oil Refineries and crude oil pipelines.

  • Review Annual work program and budget for three Oil operating companies DPOC, GPOC &SPOC).

  • Review the three oil operating companies’ activities for crude oil pipeline projects and recommend them for the approval.

  • Participation in technical evaluation of the company's competence who are interested to get the appraisal.

  • Putting /laying out the necessary training program for staff to build capacities for implementations of duties in Refineries and pipeline Department.

  • Ensure that the contract fulfills their entire obligation according to the agreement.

  • Supervise the maintenance and repair works in refineries.

  • Attend meeting periodically with top management and contractors to discuss project progress and others requirements.
