Hon. Minister Puot Kang Chol, Minister of Petroleum has today officially announced the resumption of crude oil production in Blocks 3 and 7, in Paloch Oil fields in Upper Nile State, the resumption is expected to recommence tomorrow, Wednesday, January 8, 2025. The resumption of crude oil production follows the lifting of the force majeure that was declared in February 15th, 2024.Minister Puot Kang emphasized the importance of collaboration among partners to facilitate the resumption of crude oil production. He further highlighted that this recommencement of operations will bolster the government’s initiatives aimed at revitalising the national economy.
