Project Details

Communities living in the oil fields have the priority in provision of services through community Development and corporate social responsibility funds. In a similar approach to the re-settlement program of Botswana communities who leave in rain scarce areas, the populations that leave in South Sudan Oil fields need re-settlement program to group them in new settlement areas so that much of the bulk land is left for other land use such as Oil operations, agriculture, domestic animals grassing and wildlife habitat. Model villages’ project is a solution to pollution problems incurred by living close to the operations areas. In each model village services such as water, electricity, internal and linking roads, community centers, schools, dispensaries etc. The Botswana experience is so important in that its communities who live in low rain zones of the country with scarce rains have been salvaged by a huge water pipe brought from the north. Scattered settlements grouped into model villages with the least village having 500 House hold
