Today in  the morning Hon. Puot Kang the Minister of Petroleum I was hosted by Irene Lasu of the Miraya breakfast show. During the discussion, the minister highlighted how the Oil and Power conference will benefit South Sudan and the significant action points from the previous conferences outcomes which have been implemented. The minister also gave updates on production and the effect of the conflict in Sudan on both production and export of the crude oil.

The Ministry of Petroleum have put plans in place to venture more into refining and production of oil bio- products. On the other hand, the minister highlighted on the cases of pollution of the land and water bodies in which the ministry of Petroleum has conducted a sample investigation to address the issue of environmental pollution.
