Today Wednesday June 21st, 2023, launched the consultative geophysical Survey at Pyramid Continental Hotel in Juba. During the opening speech, the Undersecretary of the Ministry Mayen Wol Jong stated that the main aim of the geophysical mapping campaign is to create awareness to the people of Jonglei State by to let them know that the Geophysical plane will be flying over at the low level to survey physical environment. 
According to the Nile Orange Energy Project, the plane would be flying at a speed of 180 – 300 Km/h at the altitude of 702 m above the sea level, approximately 300m above the ground with the aim of detecting information regarding the oil and other minerals that might be present in Jonglei State.
On the other hand, the Technical Advisor to the Ministry Eng. Awow Daniel Chuang reiterated that the aircraft is fully owned by the government of South Sudan. While the Deputy Governor of Jonglei State Jacob Akech Dengdit promises to assist the ministry in sensitizing the local communities from the state level to Bomas level specially the cattle keepers about the aircraft expected to fly over in the area. Because the exploration and survey will pave the way for the investors to come to South Sudan and invest and therefore create employment opportunities in the country.
