KENNETH ALIEN KAUNDA

DIRECTOR GENERAL FOR ADMIN & FINANCE

Mr. Kenneth Alian Kaunda the Director General for Admin & Finance, Ministry of Petroleum born in Mundri on first January 1959. He is the Director General for Admin & Finance for over 40 years of professional and civil service experience.

Mr. Kaunda holds a master degree in Development and Planning from University of Khartoum and A Bachelor Degree in Accounting from Zagazig University in the Arab Republic of Egypt. Before attending the Universities, Kaunda went the El Nahar Elementary School – Juba from 1964 to 1967. He also attended to Bussure South Intermediate School in Wau from 1968 t0 1973. From 1973 to 1976 Kaunda acquired obtained Senior Secondary School Certificate from Rumbek Secondary School.

Kaunda previously served as the Director General for Admin & Finance at National Assembly Republic of South Sudan as well as Director General of Finance and Economic Development in Western Equatoria State. Finally, he served as a Director General for Admin & Finance in the Ministry of Finance and Planning before he was transferred to Ministry of Petroleum.

Mr. Kaunda also held the following positions

(June 1986 De-seconded back from Imatong Mountains Forest Development Project to Regional Ministry of Finance and Economic Affairs Equatoria region Juba as Deputy Director of Finance and Administration. In 1993 promoted to grade 4 supper scale as 1st Deputy Director of Finance and Administration.

Imatong Mountains Forestry Development Project Katire

November 1983-May 1986, seconded to Imatong Mountains Forest Development Project Katire as Deputy Sales Manager

Regional Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning Southern Region Juba.

(1981- 1983) worked with Regional Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning Southern Region Juba as A/ Inspector of Finance and in Sept 1983 promoted to full Inspector of Finance.
