Ministry of Petroleum’s Undersecretary Dr. Santino Ayuel Longar Inspectors the Ministry’s New Building Headquarters 



JUBA, June Thursday 25th, 2026 



The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Petroleum, Dr. Santino Ayuel Longar, accompanied by a delegation of senior officials, on Thursday conducted an inspection visit to the Ministry's new Twin Towers and Data Center Headquarters located along the Juba–Yei Road.

The visit aimed to assess the progress of construction works and review preparations for the Ministry's to relocate to the new facility.

Speaking to the media after the inspection, Dr. Longar expressed satisfaction with the work progresses, noting that the majority of the construction and installation activities are nearing completion.

The project has made significant progress, and most of the remaining works are in their final stages, he said. "The new headquarters will provide a modern and conducive working environment for Ministry staff, enabling them to deliver services more effectively and efficiently."

Dr. Longar emphasized that the establishment of the new headquarters forms a part of the Ministry's broader efforts to strengthen institutional capacity and to improve service delivery within the petroleum sector, which is a key pillar of South Sudan's economy.

He further acknowledged the continued support provided by the government, particularly the Ministry of Finance and Planning for facilitating the successful implementation of the project.

The Undersecretary also commended the efforts of all contractors, consultants, and technical teams involved in the construction works, including the National Engineering and Consulting Company for their commitment and professionalism throughout the project.

We appreciate the dedication demonstrated by all implementing and consulting entities that have contributed to bring this important national project to its current stage, he said.

According to Dr. Longar, the Ministry expects to relocate to the new headquarters within the next two to three months once the remaining construction, furnishing, and logistical arrangements are finalized.

He called upon Ministry staff and stakeholders to remain committed to serve the people of South Sudan and support the sustainable growth and development of the country's petroleum industry.
